Looking to acquire one great water treatment company.
If you own a company that treats boilers, cooling towers or process water, and you are thinking about finding the next steward for your business, I'd like to hear from you.
What I'm looking for
- Work
- Water treatment service and chemicals for commercial and industrial customers: boilers, cooling towers, closed loops, process water and wastewater. Also water testing labs, Legionella and compliance work, and contract plant operation.
- Where
- Northeast US
- Earnings
- $0.5 to $1.5 million in seller's discretionary earnings (SDE)
- History
- Ten years or more in business, with technicians who have stayed.
- Owner
- Planning to retire or step back in the next few years.
Few companies are perfectly aligned with these criteria; if yours is close, please reach out.
What a sale to me looks like
- One company
- I buy one business and run it myself, full time.
- Your people
- Your employees are critical to your business, and I plan to operate it in partnership with them with full appreciation for their importance.
- Your handover
- We decide together how long you stay involved. A period where you gradually hand off ensures we have the smoothest transition.
About me
I'm James. I was raised in an entrepreneurial household, growing up abroad as my parents pursued business opportunities from country to country. After I graduated from college in rural Vermont, I went to work in finance.
I was first exposed to water treatment through that work. I've kept up with the industry since, and following many conversations with owners and operators in this space, I decided to dedicate my search solely to this industry.
